Michigan Technological University Department of Mathematical Sciences
Research of Franz X. Tanner
In his research, Franz Tanner focuses on the modeling and
computer simulation of multiphase flows of Newtonian and Non-Newtonian fluids.
His research includes sprays, liquid breakup, peristaltic motion,
chemical reactions and phase transition processes.
The objectives of this research are the understanding and description of the
flow phenomena in engine related applications, in biological systems and in
food processing problems.
Franz Tanner's work involves interdisciplinary projects with industry,
research institutes and universities.
